She saw the gap from both sides of the consultation room.
Dr Zakhona Ngema graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand and has been practising medicine in South Africa since 2009. Over more than 16 years in both public and private healthcare, she noticed something that no amount of prescribing could fix.
Her patients were doing the right things. Eating reasonably. Trying to stay active. And still coming back exhausted, foggy, and depleted — not from disease, but from nutritional gaps that conventional medicine rarely has time to address properly.
At the same time, she watched the supplement industry fill those gaps with products that were under-dosed, poorly absorbed, or designed more for a shelf than for a body. Expensive packaging. Ineffective forms. Doses too small to do anything meaningful.
MediVtal exists because that gap deserved a better answer — one built on clinical thinking, not marketing logic.
